The Director of such famous kiddy fare as the nightmare before Christmas, James and the giant peach, and Coraline is his own production studio in San Francisco. Their first project, Shademaker, looks to scare children and is boasting some impressive talent behind the scenes already. A job recruitment post for the production of cartoon BREW dug up says:
"Cinderbiter is a new stop-motion companies, whose Mandat is big, scary movies for young ' us with a small, closely associated crew to see the back of each other." link first production of Henry of Cinderbiter Lou Romano are veteran teammate Eric Leighton and the acclaimed production designer. That's right: Lou Romano! "
Cinderbiter da was renamed Shademaker productions, but the important bit of information in this blurb Lou Romano is clear. He is a production designer of Pixar projects such as cars, has to worked, and Ratatouille. Pixar is probably the most successful film studio today and Selick's movies have dedicated legions of fans (even if 90% of you think that Tim Burton made his films).
A team from Henry Selick , and one of the heads of Pixar is probably a dream team for a variety of animation nerds. This is going to be like the cartoon laugh Olympics cool to make. Only for making children smile you to go, unless you scare you know. Depending on your parenting philosophy, this may be to look forward to. I know if I I try small children had would you freak out with you to stuff like this (between home viewings robbers and the Exorcist).
The partnership could also beyond Romano. Cole double marked with a Disney contact and Selick signed a contract with Pixar in the last year to direct several films for you. Shademaker productions may very well the factory, create those Selick/Pixar movies.
What do you think?
