California-born Director Joshua Marston, whose award-winning 2004 handles image Columbian drug trafficking, Maria full of grace makes his attention to the conflict between old traditions and modern life in Albania in the forgiveness of the blood BERLIN-(Wettbewerb).

It is a known history of territorial rights and family honor, but it is well told, and the film features beautifully natural performances by non-professionals. It could also reach festivals in certain areas, in particular, have the population with a Balkan heritage.

In the rural North of the former communist nation, bread is delivered by horse-drawn carriage, but every teenager has a mobile phone. The police have to dole out modern vehicles and weapons but oldest justice in accordance with the Balkans 15-code known as the Kanun.

A conflict over the right of way on one family's land resulted in anger and violence. When a person dies, there is no way to avoid a blood feud. Marston and Albania writer Andamion Murataj produced a compelling tale about the impact of this old fashioned rules, especially on the younger generation.

The Director has a good eye and British cinematographer Rob Hardy (boy A, Red Riding) which covered many contrasts of the ancient and modern clever tools, buildings and terrain.

Refet Abazi man whose daily route using horse and carriage used took him over routes, because his grandfather owned a large tract of land plays mark, a delivery. But a temperamental man named Sokol (Veton Osmani) now owns land and placing rocks on the ground to block Mark's way.

If Sokol insulted him and his family in the presence of teenage daughter Rudina (Sindi Lacej), mark is with his brother, ZEF (Luan Jaha) things properly set. The encounter appearance outside of the screen, but soon Zokol is dead, Zev is in prison, and mark is in hiding.

A blood feud is declared, that means can leave Mark's teenage son Nik (Tristan Halilaj) and his little brother, the House in fear of retribution. Nik, who has ambitions to open an Internet Cafe graduates, once he and has a school sweetheart, Bardha (Zana Hasaj), is under arrest. Rudina but lives in their new tasks take the horse and wagon, bread, and others were to deliver.

Marston is a level of increased tension as more threats make Sokol's family and try to intimidate Rudina, to sneak during his life Nik at night to see his girlfriend risks. Loyalties will start excited, such as young people, what you see as the stubborn futility of the old ways in question to make.

The contrasts between the pristine landscape and urban development and the clash between rural intransigence and youth impatience add depth to an experienced and exciting drama.
