83rd annual Academy Awards: TV review
>> Monday, 28 February 2011
Many great performances and films were rewarded, but no good host the Oscars even more boring than Emmy.
James Franco
Anne Hathaway
In what as one of the worst could received shipments of Oscar in the story, a bad and risky idea-two let players host-held in spectacular unwatchable fashion on the largest of all nights for the film world.
Despite a total reward of brilliant performances and non-sea-, that-come disturbs not really shocking is the 83rd annual Academy Awards probably remembered as the night, The James Franco could act like a host not.

It was to be no big night on the Internet, would you a trusted consultant of Franco as the sympathetic, quirky actor was burn on Twitter and pimp slapped over the Web for its lifeless performance. The agreement to host of the Oscars and his resulting pratfall he had no business on - what, a billion people? --müssen made David Letterman closed, his time not more than mentions a kind of nadir. Anne Hathaway at least trying to sing and dance and brush along to the goings on, but Franco seemed far away uninterested, and content, his Cheshire Cat meets smug smile on display in the entire keep.
What was the point, Academy? What bring Franco at the table? His performance was more like one of his performance art pieces than actual attempt host. At least Hathaway can sing and dance, and be funny. After a strong, humorous pretaped opening where Franco and Hathaway both their own (in the best film nominated together with, at one point, Alec Baldwin and Morgan Freemanis inserted) instead they lost their way quickly. As the show. Hathaway has a song that you cancel for a joke about Hugh Jackman his Duet with her at the last minute. And Franco appeared in drag, almost without reason (and little humorous effect). But other than that was you sure for a blunt attempt or prove that someone can Oscars host. What, if you read you the reviews or you audience Hören-- lernen-the Academy - is that the major stars are not enough. You have to can be entertaining. (And no disrespect intended, but Franco and Hathaway are not likely, in the heart of the country, as well-known rated stars.)

Ricky Gervais is somewhere laughing like a school girl. If Franco Gervais thought "bombed", he'd better not over the Internet on Monday. Or, for that matter, the next few weeks. It was not just that he actually does not host, which means more than just introduction moderators, but actually entertain viewers and guide you through the night procedures-he often looked gelangweilt-- or how he was express back in the pineapple.
Even worse is, it was as if producers are looking for the show to undermine him by Baldwin and Billy Crystal and fond memories of Bob Hope. Yes, people are hosts (in fact, that Oscar's star-filled audience jumped on the legs for Crystal, as if it had seen a real host in 127 hours). Baldwin, know Crystal (and certainly knew hope), which a host is for a special purpose entity-to entertain. If you're going to a 3: 30 min Sendung--, which almost 20 minutes, - as well as the red carpet before was the working hours you'd better deliver to have something exciting to the public. No one wants to sit on the couch that long and not for their devotion be rewarded. A little understated humor, perhaps a sketch or two moments of the riff-heavy through humor. This could help. Also the possibility, gears into something with more gravitas, to move towards, so emotional or important moments on the viewers at home can be delivered.
Franco as he was too cool to be there half of the time and the other half, forcing as the lights were too bright for it saw the be a squint, buttoned-down smile look made more like contempt. Hathaway then tried to help, but the duo had not even an ounce of chemistry, the Baldwin and Steve Martin in the last year. And also, Hathaway--a beautiful actress and all-rounder-not the person who would first select you to take a show is easy. The duo joked that they were brought as bait for the younger demographic, but did you have to forget that many in this group the attention span of small birds or wiry little dogs have.
Here, we are now, entertain us, indeed. In addition, a lot of people see awards shows and multi-tasking to the same time-in the Internet in particular. Were undoubtedly "Oscars suck" or "Franco's bombing" trending topics at any given time through the ether.

Of course, not all the blame can go Franco and Hathaway. The show was the victim of start and noticed that zeigt-one thing, the most awards - a bloated Middle kills leaden. Yes, the prices for all in the industry, not only the stars and the producers and writers are. But the fact is that many people outside the industry only sound or lighting, or edit or make-up regardless. Some should be tried until the presentation somehow perk. Because what happens, is that all the big awards people want to see at the end come either on too late, or in some mad dash crashed get in time to stop.
Some awards shows ever learn this lesson or get the mix right. And to be fair, this Oscar show lacked spark from beginning to end despite an impressive number of fine films and act Vorstellungen-and the hosts can isolate only for so much. The Oscars were a bore Festival, seemed to pull relentlessly but impatient. Perhaps the next time will be put more thought in fact so that this is a good television event. You can all trot, the big name actors or directors, that you want to, but no one at home to watch paid $11. The Oscars may be about movies, but it is a TV show. No one feels click any regret on foot or from the set, if you have not you. A good host is priceless.
This year a new hit the Oscars deep. So it fell into a hole.
